Do you know a college student who has incorporated hip hop culture into their academics or planned events dedicated to the advancement of hip hop culture on their college campus or in their community? Do they live in Detroit, Atlanta, New York or Los Angeles? If so, we want to honor your nominee as our one of our inaugural Universal Hip Hop Museum Student Ambassadors.
We are seeking for students who represent any of the four foundation elements of Hip Hop culture, DJing, MCing, Breaking or Graffiti and the fifth element of knowledge. Examples include a student writing a graduate thesis with a focus on hip hop culture, a student who organizes dance work shops, your campus radio station DJ, a community organizer, graffiti artists or the MC that keeps the culture alive and well on campus.
The Universal Hip Hop Museum will lend direct support to its Student Ambassadors who carry out its mission to teach, engage and inspire audiences around the world through the creativity and power of Hip Hop Culture.
- All UHHM Student Ambassadors will receive a special recognition award for their dedication to promoting hip hop culture at one of our upcoming community events taking place in Los Angeles, Detroit, Atlanta and New York City (January 2017.)
- Become part of a world wide network of professionals, students and hip hop artists around the country with similar interests.
- Access to UHHM exclusive events including lectures, concerts and community workshops happening throughout the US starting in January of 2017.
- Paid internship opportunities with The Universal Hip Hop Museum.
