Village on Park - Parking Garage Mural

BrandNu Design was commissioned by the City of Madison to create a dynamic mural celebrating the trailblazing residents of South Madison community. We approached this project with a passion for excellence and a deep understanding of the community's rich heritage. The mural features a vibrant textile pattern with portraits of impactful individuals, adding a colorful touch to the community corner and embodying the community's spirit. Featured on the mural is Wayne Strong, Earsie Green, Alfonso Studesville Jr, Lori Mann-Carey, and Ilda Thomas. Parking structure architecture: Strang Architects

Step 1: The background textile pattern was generated by extracting shapes from the letters of the names from each of the featured community members.

Step 2: Abstract tiles created by extracting shapes from the letters of the names of residents who have made an impact on the south side of Madison.

Step 3: The final composition
